Pembrokeshire Fish Week

Pembrokeshire Fish week will be taking place around the coast of Pembrokeshire between the 27th of June to the 5th of July 2009.

Cookery demonstrations, fishing and boat trips, childrens workshops, fishing competitions and a chance to sample locally caught fish and shellfish. There will be 150 businesses taking part in this county wide event. There will be loads of entertainment for the family, huge BBQs and seaside safaris.

West Wales Food Festival May Bank Holiday.

A mouth-watering line-up of top chefs from all over Wales are the stars of the show at the first ever West Wales Food Festival. Taking place over the May Day bank holiday at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, the festival features:

The West Wales Food Festival takes place at the National Botanic Garden on Sunday May 3 and Monday May 4, from 10am-6pm both days.

Opera in the Gardens Llandeilo Fawr Festival

Garden of Wales Festival Aberglasney

Seascape woodland walk

At Seascape there is a woodland with a good variety of native species and a very pretty walk, especially if you have a dog.

We are currently working on developing this into a low-key nature trail, a consultation is taking place with wildlife experts to determine the best way to manage the woodland and to highlight the main points of interest along the trail.

Market day in Carmarthen

Market day is on a Wednesday in Carmarthen which is just 20 minutes away, with a large cattle market held just outside town.

A new multimillion pound shopping development is currently under construction which will include a Debenhams, a multi screen cinema complex along with many other famous high street names.

Now in its fifth year, the South Wales Homes & Gardens Show has quickly established itself as the essential event for ideas and inspiration both indoors and out. A colourful day out is promised at the Carmarthen Showground where the Exhibition Hall will be brimming with home improvement ideas.
